I found a whole crowd of gray cats in my basement. Two small ones, one older, the peasant brought from the city, and another one was brought by his relative from the street. They look very well-groomed, well-fed. The cats are clearly thoroughbred, just mongrels. I caught them and brought them to my house. They are mine, but I did not let them into the basement right away. Didn’t let him out on the street. I don’t have a basement, but they live in it. I won’t let you into the apartment.
The next day I went to work. Coming back from work, I saw two cats on the road. At first I thought they were just walking around. Maybe those two cats scratched each other, so they’re trying to make up. I’ll go, I think, I’ll take it if they don’t catch it. I come home, and there are already about five cats in the entrance. And not black, but grey. That’s bad luck! Different people enter and exit the entrance, and the cats sit all together in the basement. And everyone in the entrance calls me Egoist.
I, of course, barricaded them in the kitchen. But they never stop running on the floor for a second. I think I’ll drown them now. I tell my wife: “Do whatever you want. Throw something at them that is.” She will yell at the whole house: “You are an egoist, an egoistice!”. The cats ran away.
True, one still ran out into the yard. The people who passed by began to resent. I could not stand it and told them that I could not catch the cats, that my basement was mined. And that if they do not leave their dogs, then I will launch my apartment at them. They run everywhere anyway.
