Georock3D is a comprehensive application worth having when you want to analyze rock falls in three-dimensional view and utilize professional algorithms for spatial observation.
The model used by the application for the calculation of the trajectories of rock falls considers the blocks like points. This way, you have the possibility to measure the distance between them and simulate rock falls.
The trajectories you need to input depend on the slope geometry and its initial velocity, so you need to take into consideration that falling blocks may slide or roll.

Great 3D measurement
Overall it is a great tool, it is also easy to use as you can input the points directly and calculate the distance between them. Also the navigation is great so you can look around the rock fall and find areas of interest and if you need it, the tool can show you the paths the blocks have taken. Also for those who need to measure a rock fall the 3D view is really helpful, as you can see how the rocks move and fall, as well as see all the steps that you need to take. If you need to calculate the volume of the rock fall you can easily do that as well.
It is still in beta so you can expect some bugs and therefore I recommend only downloading the trial version, or have patience until the bugs get fixed and the full version comes out.
Good but some bugs
My issue with this app is that I can not get it to recognize my external microphones. It does not see any mic or they are not recognized. I am working on a YouTube presentation and I need to have the mic audio and the virtual mic. I’m not sure if this is a problem with the app or my work computer or what, please help!

The issue now is that there is a bug that causes problems when i want to use the app. It seems like there are bugs that bug, or at least I haven’t been able to locate them. For the rock fall fieldwork for mountains, you can use First Step…
For the rockslip land, you can use RANKC.
You can also try to use RockSlopeX to make the first step but I think it’s quite slow.
And you are right, but it gives you a quite poor result with a small slope…
However, I think it is suitable for a first step ( with a first version of the algorithm). If you want to be sure with an intermediate method you can use any method to do the final result. I think it is OK.
