At the ultrasonic range (20-80 kHz), the acoustic structure of T. dujardini is very diverse. The calls are composed of single-frequency pulses and/or broadband, impulsive sounds. In total, 24 distinct calls were identified in T. dujardini and three in L. terrestris. The internal mechanism used to produce these calls is based on the simultaneous contraction of two musculature systems: the body wall and the cavity muscles of the buccal mass. The emitted signals were similar in the two species; however, the production process of T. dujardini is more intricate. The duration of the individual pulses is modulated by the species-specific contact pressure between the abdominal cuticle and the substrate. The possibility of encoding information in a specific event of the pulse duration is discussed.Q:

Need help deriving the result with this formula

I’m trying to prove that $3^{2n} \cdot 2^{2n} -1 = (-1)^n (2^{2n+1} + 1)$.
I have tried just drawing the formula for the left side but I can’t seem to figure out how to go from there to the right side. It seems that there are some additional steps I should take.
I’ve tried to use logs to get $3^{2n} \cdot 2^{2n}$ but the logs of $3$ and $2$ are seemingly different, also there’s a $1$ in the bottom.
